A term or concept that is becoming more and more popular these days is "aging in place" - being able to stay in one's home as one grows older. Most likely the aging of a large group of baby boomers has a lot to do with this.
More and more people are concerned about their ability to live comfortably in their homes as they age. In fact, even while they are physically able to maneuver well in their bathrooms and handle their stairs efficiently, they are beginning to plan ahead for days when they may not be able to do so.
As builders, one of the major areas that Central City Remodelers is asked to tackle is making the bathroom a safe place for seniors who are beginning to have mobility issues.

Making the decision that your home needs improvements is easy; sometimes your home makes the decision for you. Once that decision is made, two real decisions still remain. ♦ The first decision is to determine the quality or type of materials which will be used for the improvement. More importantly, are you looking for a permanent solution or just the cheapest way - even if the solution will only last a few years?
♦ The second decision is... who should you contract to get the home improvement successfully completed? The cheapest work is done by unlicensed persons claiming to be "contractors." They operate without license from the state, no liability insurance and workman's compensation insurance. Can anyone seriously think a person who takes no responsibility for his actions to the public is going to warranty the quality of their work?
